Quantock Orienteers at Parkrun

Should we keep an eye on QO members who succeed at their Parkrun? - providing they run as Quantock Orienteers!

To kick off, today at the LongRun Meadow Parkrun, Adam Fieldhouse stormed first almost one minute ahead of the field of 358 runners, while Hazel Mudd acheived a personal best of 26.22min

Thank you! I think there is also credit due for an equally impressive effort by an important QO member who completed the course today in a respectable time of 43:21 - Roger Craddock!

They have done it again! Adam came 2nd in 17.44, Hazel and Linda both improved on their PB. Did Robin forget to bring his bar code?

I see that Roger has completed 100 Parkruns now! Congratulations!

Shout out for Adam Fieldhouse! 1st out of 313 at Longrun Meadow ParkRun last Saturday. Great to see the Maynard family still running as QO and doing well!

Many QO members were at yesterday’s LRM Parkrun. It was a lovely sunny autumnal morning! Adam had an easy win in 17:22 followed by Robin with a PB of 18:16. Richard came in in just under 22 minutes and Tom was also in the top 100. I was the 26th female, Graham came along proudly wearing his QO top as always and ran 29:01 and John came in with 48 minutes. Over in Minehead, Linda ran it in 32:18. Well done all!

Brilliant account Hazel
Keep updating us on QO achievements. Almost all of these came to JOG in the afternoon as well!

Hazel produced a good run to be 21 out of 120 female finishers. Adam followed his PB at Parkrun with a 1st place in the JOG at Ham hill in the afternoon and 2nd place on Brown in the Regional event in the Forest of Dean the following day!

This morning at Longrun Meadow, Tom was top of the QO list coming in at 25:15. Graham, our most consistent runner at LRM Parkrun, got round in 33:47 and John also did well in 48:32. A bit further afield this week, Robin came 5th at Exeter Riverside in a fast time of 18:31 and got himself a PB. Also down in Devon, at Cranbrook Country Park, Adam sprinted ahead of the rest of us taking 1st position by a whole minute. I was the 10th female to finish in a time of 25:44.

Well done Quantock Orienteers. There are others who need to shine their light on the Club by identifying themselves as QO. Joanna Evans (nee Craddock) ran Longrun Parkrun in 25.35 while down from Southport for the w/e.

Today was a cold and frosty but sunny wintery morning at Longrun Meadow. Leading the QO pack today, was Tom in just under 25 mins. Adam jogged around with me completing my 25th Parkrun. Graham was next in just under 36 mins and John was just over 46 mins. Over in Minehead, Vicky ran in around 27.5 mins and Linda got sub 33. Well done everyone!

Adam does it again! Winner of Monument 10km last week. Great page with photos in this week’s Gazette. Even shows Adam being presented trophies by Taunton AC showing membership of QO.

After Robin storming in in the leading pack at the return of the LRM parkrun a fortnight ago, the Fantastic Fieldhouses finished in 1st and 2nd places last Saturday. Other good runs from Tom, Richard, Hazel, and Graham made Judy and I think we need a QO runners top to show Taunton road runners that we have something special to offer.
