Just done the permanent short hard course at St. Audries on maprun to try to keep my fitness up in the Christmas break. Thank you to whoever set that up - I enjoyed it despite my awful time and gorse- punctured legs!!
The course is all good except control 6 which lived up to it’s description of being a depression! I think there has been a lot of vegetation growth since it was originally planned. The only way to access it at the moment is by wading through thigh deep gorse and heather. With no obvious attack point I found it a nightmare to find even with my height advantage. If it’s practical to change, it would be easy to move that control to the cairn just SSW of the number “6”, or the knoll east of the number “6”.
