I hope everyone who went to the November Classic 2023 enjoyed the event and managed to avoid a cold water plunge like I did! I assisted a more mature gentleman to get down into deepish, quite fast flowing stream and off he went and when I went to follow I missed my footing and took a plunge over my waist. Bit of a cold shock. Once I scrambled out I realised I’d dropped my map so had to jump back in to retrieve it - luckily it had caught on a branch - phew. I was just leaving control 4 so had another 8 to go but I managed to squelch myself round. I’ve got some lovely big bruises as souvenirs too. All good fun

Well done to Adele for her podium position in her age class. I was on the same course, but it wasn’t me! My nemesis was #11, a poor route choice. Congratulations to Finley who also achieved a podium as 2nd on the M14 which should earn him a place on the Scottish training week at Lagganlia next summer
