It was so good to see everyone. As planner, I felt very satisfied seeimg people running 5 different directions at the same time in one clearing.
Sorry about the final slog uphill to the finish, but I had visions of a mass start piling into a heap if anyone slipped so put the start on a more flat section (which also had more immediate options).

I was fortunate that the secret home controls appeared as I needed them - I followed some juniors to the one by the trough, and I spotted the others from the paths.
I was frustrated I missed the control by the tent until I had wasted a minute or so at the finish, but for the second time in my orienteering ‘career’ I have demonstrated that Si is very forgiving about finishing multiples times.
Coming late to this discussion, but thanks Alasdair, it was a great format for a small area. The secret controls were a nice touch. I found all except one.
Well done to all involved in the lunch and games too. It was nice that most people stayed for the social.
