A New Club Record on SWOL Brown Course

A new club record for results at a South West Orienteering League Brown course was achieved at Cannimore and Shearwater on October 26th 2025. Four QO members filled the top four positions followed by two more in the top ten. The order being M21s making the podium - 1st Adam Fieldhouse, 2nd Oliver Rant and 3rd Robin Fieldhouse. Veteran Will Kromhout M50 ahead of many younger competitors gained the number 4 spot. New Talent Squad member Finley Goddard M16 finished 9th and Robert Fieldhouse M21 10th out of 27.

With Mark Goddard M45 and Hazel Mudd W21 the only woman also competing, QO had the largest representation on the longest course, previously dominated by the larger clubs BOK and Devon over the years in the SWOL and previous Galoppens.

Showing consistency with top Brown results, this week at Bere Wood SWOL, QO had Oliver Rant in 1st place, Robin Fieldhouse in 2nd, Robert Fieldhouse 4th and Richard Sansbury M55 6th.

Well done, Brian for highlighting these achievements. I hope they can be included in the October newsletter on the QO website to advertise the current success of our youngsters!

QO is now well known around the region for our band of high achieving 20-somethings. Well done.
